Help Us Rebuild

Hi, my name is Lisa and I'm a single mom of four terrific young women.
This year, we ran into a bit of bad luck. Our dry well grew over and unknown to us started pushing water from our washing machine onto the floor of our combination family room/laundry room over a few weeks, each time we ran the washer. The water wasn't noticed until it soaked through the two layers of subfloor, the carpet pad and carpet. We went to put in a load of wash and realized that our socks were soaked.
Roto Rooter was called (great company btw) and so was the insurance company. As Roto Rooter was starting the process of tearing up the carpet and the old parquet floor, and subfloor, they noticed that the original flooring from 1952 was still in place. They tested it and it came back as Asbestos!! A three day tear out has escalated to more than $25,000 overnight. Not only that, but we are unable to live in the house until the Mold and Asbestos have been removed safely. We have been living in a hotel for the last 10 days, hoping insurance would help pay for it.
They will not. It seems the insurance has a cap of $10,000 for mold and asbestos. And no provision for rehoming the family during the dangerous removal process.
My daughters and I are asking for help to do the following:
1) Remove the deadly substances from our home.
2) Replace the flooring in the family room and laundry with vinyl flooring.
3) Dig a new dry well or connect the washer to the main line.
4) Allow us to have a safe place to live while we are repairing. (The place we are now is $160 a night, has a kitchenette, and is 10 miles to the kids' schools and 20 miles from my work)
5) Pay any taxes on the Go-Fund-Me funds.
We hope that you see your way to helping just a little.
Thank you,
The Richards Family
