Khalsa Gurmat Center Vandalism Repair Fund

Tax deductible
On Friday, September 17, Khalsa Gurmat Center in Federal Way, Washington, was vandalized and robbed. The main Divaan hall (prayer area) was badly damaged, control panels were destroyed, and windows were broken. The alarms were disabled by destroying the circuitry. They also stole several computers and TV monitors on their way out of the building. Shri Guru Granth Sahib Ji's Swaroop was not in the building at the time of the incident.

The damage was discovered the next morning by Sevadaars (volunteers of the Sangat) arriving to begin cooking food (Langar) and prepare for the weekend classes and services. The Federal Way, WA Police Department is investigating all possible motives, including the possibility that bias could have been a motivating factor in this incident.

We want to thank all of you who have sent messages of sympathy, love, compassion, and prayers.

For those looking to offer their support to the community, we ask that you consider making a donation to this GoFundMe campaign, and encourage you to please share with your network of friends and family. Funds raised will be used to do repairs and enhance the security infrastructure to prevent further incidents.

Thank you in advance for supporting our community in this time of hurt and confusion. Our deepest gratitude to those of you standing with us. We shall together come out stronger as a community.
