Echuca Moama Flood appeal 22
Donation protected
Echuca / Moama flood appeal 2002.
Hi. My name is Sheridan clark, I’m the manager of crossenvale community house.
I was helping with food relief & free coffees for six days at the kerferd street site with amazing helpers, where hundreds of people are sand bagging to save our community, getting food and refreshments.
This was possible through community volunteers our team called themselves the ‘kerferd girls’- local mums and ladies in our community.
The ladies worked 8 hours per day making sure everyone had food and cold drinks, baking goods, dropping off donations or collecting donations from local business. Today (Thursday) was our last day. As we now all brace for the floods to peak and possible flooding of our twin towns.
The kerferd girls don’t want to stop there… we have set this up to provide any assistance to flood victims in the local area of echuca and surrounding townships. We understand there are other fundraising platforms are also asking for donations.
Here is
We still have a long road to recovery for many areas, still now water is coming down to us and other areas around echuca.
Items we hope to buy are:
Towels
Clean up kits
Pressure washers
Linen, blankets, pillows
Food pantry items
