Help Ethiopians in Minnesota acquiring a comm CTR

Together let’s realize a Community Center in Minnesota

Over the years Ethiopians have been settling in Minnesota and made Minnesota their home. Whereas the Ethiopian community in Minnesota (ECM) has been giving numerous services, the community has grown to the point where its services needed to be broadened to meet the diverse needs of the community. It doesn’t have a center for a variety of communal needs like weddings, graduation and multi-faceted self-supporting services thus far. To that end a building committee has been organized by ECM whose task is to just do that. The committee has been exploring various revenue generating programs and raised some money. In 2022 the ECM leadership and the committee sought state grant and it is in the process of successfully securing a grant. There is one caveat though. We need to raise 10% of the cost of the building that is estimated to be $ 2.5 mln.

At the current time there is $122, 000 in the Community’s building fund. The Committee’s goal is to raise $250,000. With your help we believe we can achieve that. Please join us in achieving this goal.

በሚነሶታ ኢትዮጵያውያንንና ኢትዮጵያን ከፍ ክፍ እናድርግ!

በተለያየ ጊዜ ሚኒሶታ የመጣን ኢትዮጵያውያን ቁጥራችን አድጎ እናት አገራችንን የሚመስል ህብረብሄራዊ ማህበረሰብ ፈጥረናል። በመሆኑም የሚኒሶታ ከፍለ ግዛት ኢትዮጵያውያን ደምቀው ከሚገኙበት የዳያስፖራው ማህበረሰብ አንዱ ነው ማለት ይቻላል። ነገር ግን ለሀዘንም ሆነ ለደስታ የምንገናኝበትና የሚያስተሳስረን፤ ከኛም አልፎ ባህላችንና አገራችንን በጎአችንን ለሚሹ ሁሉ የምናሳውቅበት ማዕከል ሳይኖረን ቆይተናል።

ይህን ችግር ለማስወገድ በሚነሶታ የኢትዮጵያውያን ማህበረስብ ድርጅት ስር የተሰባሰበ የህንጻ ኮሚቴ ተቋቁሞ ኢትዮጵያውያንንና ትውልደ ኢትዮጵያን ከፍ የሚያደርግ የማእክለ ህንጻ ለመግዛት በተለያየ አቅጣጫ ገንዘብ በማሰባሰብ ላይ ተሰማርቷል። በ2022 የድርጅቱ አመራርና ኮሚቴው የ ስቴት ግራንት ጠይቆ በዚያ ዙሪያ ተስፋ የሚሰጥ ሁኔታ ያለ ሲሆን ማህበረሰቡ የህንጻውን ዋጋ 10% ማስባሰብ እንዳለበት የግራንቱ አሰራር መስፈርት ተቀምጧል፡፡ በመሆኑም በየትኛውም የአለም ክፍል የምትኖሩ ኢትዮጵያን ያላችሁ ወገኖቻችን ሁሉ ይህን 10% ለማሰባሰብ ለምናደርገው ጥረት እንድትተባበሩን በትህትና እንጠይቃለን።

ባሁኑ ጊዜ ለህንጻ ግዢ በተለያየ መንገድ የተሰባሰብ $122,000 ካፒታል አለን ። ዓላማችን $250,000 ለማሰባሰብ ነው፡፡ ማህበረሰቡ የድርጅቱ አመራርና የህንጻ ኮሚቴው ባሁኑ ጊዜ ተግተው በመሥራት ይህን እቅድ ከግብ ለማድረስ በሚያደርጉት እንቅስቃሴ ትብብራችችሁን በትህትና እንጋብዛለን፡፡ ድር ቢያብር አንበሳ ያስር እንዲሉ፡፡
