Serenity Solidarity Inc. is a nonprofit that is focused on raising funds for BIPOC (Black, Indigenous, People of Color) community service initiatives, and acquiring land for the purpose of building intentional communities that are accessible to, and led by, BIPOC.
Serenity Solidarity needs your help building sustainable, ecologically friendly homes for BIPOC families, refugees, and formerly homeless individuals. We are building a farm and intentional community in Central Virginia whose members are focused on racial, restorative, social, economic justice, and direct action activism. We are dedicated to empowering families and people of color who have no generational wealth and have had no access to land for many generations.
The intentional community and ecovillage movement has very few members and residents that identify as Black, Indigenous, or POC. We are led primarily by Black, Indigenous, and People of Color. We will share collective ownership of community resources, such as land, buildings, and vehicles. We will make this land accessible to people who have never had land ownership in their families and prioritize membership for people suffering from poverty.
We have big plans for our 13 acres! We want to build an elder care center, a decolonization-focused school for our children, and a retreat and wellness center for activists working on the front lines of changing the world. We are fundraising for the purchase of land and for building infrastructure and housing. We need your help!
