Ed Boldt's Brave Brain Cancer Fight
Donation protected
Our step-dad, father-in-law and Papa Ed Boldt is not only loved by us, but by an amazing community of family and friends. He is the life of the party and a big guy with the most tender heart.
Ed was diagnosed in 2015 with Anaplastic malignant meningioma (aggressive RARE brain cancer that accounts for only about 1% of cases) and has undergone 2 brain surgeries and multiple bouts of radiation to try to remove cancerous tumor material. He has endured serious complications like menegitis which lengthened hospital and nursing home stays, reoccuring blood clots, and is now experiencing daily seizures.
He underwent chemotherapy and radiation just recently for 6 weeks and despite those efforts, the results of the last MRI scan showed new aggressive tumor growth. His prognosis is challenging to say the least.
Medical bills have been pouring in over the past couple years but are now compounding at an overwhelming rate. His treatments aside from meds, hospital and nursing home stays, surgeries... have multiple co-pays between $1000 and $3000 at a time which is extremelly stressful.
Please rally around Ed and Kathy at this time and express your love for them in a tangible way that they would never ask for but is greatly needed.
Prayers are greatly appreciated for Ed, Kathy, Jeff and I and his precious grandchildren, dear friends and family - for strength, endurance, bravery, comfort and peace.
Love,
Becky and Jeff Ventre
