What do you call A woman who gives her all to her community ........ I Call Her Iya Dammons, Founder &Executive Director of Baltimore Safe Haven. During the last couple of months, Iya took a response to covid-19 by storm creating and implementing an emergency reponse task force for community. While doing this work Iya  has started a full force meal and grocery distribution service, transitional housing for TLGBQ Youth, emergency transportation services, emergency tele-health mental health appointments and much more. Iya has recently fallen ill shortly after leading the Black Trans Live Matter Rally that was held outside of Baltimore City’s City Hall on June 5th , Ms. Dammons is now under quarantine restrictions and she is still trying to work as her staff knowing her dedication we are wrapping our arms around a woman who won’t let this get the best of her.

Currently Iya is working on a new campaign and has currently devoted and dedicated almost half of her salary to achieving this goal but still is in need of help.
I haven't met a stronger or more driven woman when it comes down to looking after her community so i ask that we pour into her life as she pours into the lives of the community that she already does so much for.
