Ed Waldron Memorial Fund

On March 20th, Ed Waldron passed away unexpectedly. His death leaves a gaping hole in the lives of his loving wife Brande, his two children, Porter (14) and Murphy (11), his mother, father, sister, and brother, and countless friends and family who adored him.
Ed first met Brande when they were in college in Gainesville, Florida, and they have been together for 26 years. Happily married since 2004, Brande and Ed became the parents of two amazing children. Both extremely resilient people, their fortitude was tested when both Porter and Murphy were born with ARPKD, a rare kidney disorder. All four have fought this illness tirelessly through the years, and have loved one another through every taxing moment.
Known for his quick wit and dry sense of humor, Ed was the source of much laughter and joy. He had an knack for storytelling, and loved regaling friends and family with fond memories. He delighted in his roles as husband, father, and friend. Ed was patient, kind, intelligent, and thoughtful. Ed played rugby for the University of Florida Rugby Club beginning in 1994, and was active in the sport throughout his life, affiliated with clubs in Boston, Philadelphia (Blackthorn), and Maryland. He was a lifelong Gator fan, and never passed up an opportunity to represent the University of Florida. He is known affectionately by his friends as "Parisian Ed" and "Captain Ahab."
Brande has not only lost her beloved soulmate, but she is also facing the precarious financial situation when one immediately must transition from two incomes to one. We have set up this memorial fund for Brande, Porter, and Murphy in the hopes of providing a sense of assurance during this devastating time. Any contribution toward alleviating the family's burden is greatly appreciated.
