Hi friends!
We are half way through our first week teaching in Uganda at Glorious Nursery and Primary School, and we’ve seen that our little ones are in desperate need of supplies. We’re opening a gofundme for one week in hopes of raising $575 that will allow us to purchase basic necessities for them before we leave.
We sat down with our school director to price out what is needed most urgently:
• 1 NEW FLOOR : $75
• 17 BENCH DESKS : $325
(We would love to make sure every child has their own work space to ensure that no child has to work on the floor.)
• 2 CHALKBOARDS : $45
• WRITING MATERIALS : $100
(The children currently have to whittle down pencils using a shared razor blade to sharpen them.)
• RECESS TOYS : $20
Our fundraiser will be open for one week from 7/24 - 7/31. Any amount would be so much appreciated and put to meaningful use!
