Cremation for my cat

My name is Vanessa. I took my cat, Kether, to the vet because I suspected he had a UTI. I was correct but was in shock when they told me there were multiple other issues with him. I could tell something was wrong because he was losing weight and just wasn’t being active or using the litter box. He was also more clingy and grumpy towards my other cat. They told me they couldn’t guarantee he would make it through the night. They suggested they keep him there for two days and do surgery on him. But even with the surgery being done, there was an extremely small chance he would pull through. The surgery was going to cost $3000 and this specific vet does not do payment plans. So they recommended to get him euthanized. I didn’t have the money for surgery and I didn’t just want to give up without a fight. They gave me antibiotics and I bought him special foods for his kidneys which were failing. He also has a heart murmur. I don’t speak vet so some of the things they said were wrong with him aside from what I’ve already said went over my head. I was just in shock. They gave him fluids and I took him home to try and see if I could help him. He seemed to be doing better for a few days but then it got bad again. I don’t want him to suffer and I don’t have the money for the surgery which might not even work, so I’ve made the painful decision to have him euthanized and cremated. This go fund me is for the cremation. Anything would help. I raised kether since he was a baby and he’s only four years old. He had a good life and everyone knows he’s my world. My heart is broken that it has come to this. Thank you for reading this. He will be getting euthanized this following weekend.
