Eddie Akers recovery fund

Hello my name is Melissa and I am requesting donations to help my uncle, Eddie Akers and his ongoing recovery after a spinal cord injury.

Sunday September 10th - My uncle was vacationing with his wife (Sharon) and very close friends in Myrtle Beach, SC. My uncle dived into the pool as he always did but this time he hit his head on the bottom of the pool, he was instantly unable to move. His friend and other strangers jumped in to help save him. Unfortunately he fractured his neck and upper vertebra in his back. Eddie had to have surgery on the broken vertebra, and was told he would be in a wheelchair the rest of his life.

This has been very traumatic for everyone, especially my uncle. He has always been very active and loved to drive. His wife, Sharon is currently unable to go back to work as they are still in Myrtle Beach, SC. They are working on moving Eddie to an inpatient rehab hopefully closer to home. I am trying to raise enough money to help towards the cost of medical bills, spinal cord rehabilitation, house renovations to accommodate Eddies' physical needs, and any other bills that come in while Sharon is unable to work.

We know God is the ultimate healer, and will heal Eddie in his time, not ours. Please continue the prayers! They work!
