Introduction: Let me tell you about two extraordinary musicians, bass trombonist Eddie Clark and tenor trombonist Herb Bruce. These two have worked together on studio recordings and live performances for decades. Both of them have played with many leading acts, including Frank Sinatra, Whitney Houston, Liza Minnelli, David Sanborn, The Back Street Boys, Quincy Jones, Natalie Cole, Matchbox Twenty’s multi-platinum album Mad Season which includes the hit If You’re Gone, and the Netflix Film Dolemite Is My Name (starring Eddie Murphy) soundtrack, and that’s just a small sample. Professional musicians are familiar with Eddie from his tenure in New York City where he played in Broadway shows such as Lion King, 42nd Street, Fosse, and Jekyll and Hyde. Eddie has recently enjoyed performing with the St. Louis Symphony Orchestra. Herb is also known for his work at Walt Disney World and in Nashville.
Even if you didn’t know their names until now, you have most certainly heard their performances. But what hasn’t been heard is these two talented soloists on an album of their own. That is, until now, and this is where you come in. We invite you to play an important part as they embark on this new musical journey.
