Eddie Jenkins and Family, Storm Damaged Home Help!

Hey everybody, my name is Eddie Jenkins and currently my little family is facing and Urgent situation‼️

On Tuesday, January 9, in New Jersey we received an alert about a major storm coming in. We prepared for the storm, the best we could.

The electric and power wasn’t restored for a few days, and when I got back home, I came home to find out that in my basement the water heater, furnace, water filtration system, HVAC system, water pump along with all of my families memories, clothing, baby equipment, and work/studio equipment was destroyed in 2 feet of water.

I then walked around to view the rest of the house to see that the foundation and basement wall underneath the babies bedrooms was collapsed and caved in.

I know that’s a lot, then to find out today that my insurance will not cover the damages of the house or personal property nor work equipment because it is considered a flood due to an outside source, which was the rainstorm. I truly don’t understand how this is possible so I am seeking legal help.

As of right now, FEMA and the other resources, that I have reached out to are going to take weeks or even months of time for us to figure out what to do for the house and our living situation.

Finding a place to stay for my family is my top priority. I’m hoping that we could receive some help from friends and family via the web with our situation. If I’m being transparent and honest, I’m the last person to ask anybody for money and this is really my only option at this point. Love you all whether you can help or not.
