Eddie Lester Brain Tumor Surgery

At the beginning of April 2020 half of Eddies body went into spasm. We thought is was a muscle spasm or stroke. Tremors continued so he had a doctor visit and got an MRI.  On April 17 the MRI showed a 4.6 cm tumor on his skull pushing against his brain, causing the weakness and seizures.

The specialists scheduled consults with him and he is scheduled for surgery at UW Harborview Hospital Neurosurgery in Seattle on April 30th at 7:30 am.  The surgery should last 4-5 hours and he will stay 4 or 5 nights in the hospital. Afterward they will send the tumor to pathology to test it for cancer.

The  expenses for this that we know we have to pay is $6,875. This covers prescriptions, co-pays, travel, deductibles and lodging as the hospital will not allow Katie to stay the night with the Pandemic.  She is allowed in the room during visiting hours.
