Eddie's World Rock Climbing Championship Attempt

Donation protected
In 2014 Eddie Sparks had a rock climbing accident, suffering a brain injury and leaving her visually impaired.

After more than a year in hospital, and rehab facilities, Eddie returned home and soon began climbing again. In 2017 she started competitive climbing, winning the Queensland state championship in the para-category.

In 2018 Eddie won Queensland and Victoria's state championships, and won Australia's national rock climbing championship para-category.

This year Eddie has already won New South Wales and Victoria's state championships in the para-category.

In June and July 2019 Eddie hopes to travel to France for the World Championship and Austria for the Master's Championship. But she needs your help to do it!

Eddie needs to bring a helper with her on the trip to help her navigate travel, as well as cover food, accomodation and the competition fees.

This all means that we need to raise about $5,000 for Eddie to achieve her dreams of competing overseas in this year's biggest  international rock climbing championships!

Any little bit helps! Thank you for your encouragement and support!
