Eddy and Pauline Henderson Support Fund

Eddy and Pauline are two of the nicest and most hardworking people you could meet. Both immigrated to this country to provide a better life for their family and for years, they were able to accomplish their goal. Struggling to achieve the American dream, Eddie worked as a doorman in Tribeca for years. He supported his wife who suffers from severe complications due to her diabetes. She is reliant on at-home care to manage her diabetic condition, which has required amputation of both of her feet.

During the pandemic, Eddy was asked to return to work to care for the residents living at Tribeca House. As a result, Eddy contracted COVID and is now unable to work because he is suffering from complications that require oxygen treatments at home. Pauline continues to have significant medical challenges due to her diabetes.

Eddy has never sought public assistance but is now left with no other choice. He and his wife are unable to work. Their applications for disability and other support have encountered significant delays and they are now at risk of becoming homeless. Through no fault of their own, they are in financial trouble and need the help of the very people they were trying to serve.
