Edgar G. Munro - Navy Veteran
Donation protected
This is my husband, Edgar, who had suffered a stroke 10 1/2 years ago. During those 10 1/2 years I took care of him, which was difficult. He was an attorney, father, grandfather, great grandfather, husband, and my best friend. We had been together for eight years, and then we were married for 24 years making it 30 years together. During that time, we never once had an argument, or a fight, and we never went to bed mad at each other. Then November 2022 he fell and fractured his hip, and he had surgery the following day, but he never walked again. Then he contracted a VRE infection, and he then was required 24-hour care. So, he was placed in a nursing home to get the care nursing care he needed. Then he was placed on hospice care. Before his stroke, we lived quite well doing small things that he liked to do, play chess, walk around the house, etc. Then after his stroke it financially wiped us out. I had to stay home and care for him, which I was happy to do, but I couldn't do it since I was disabled as well, so I made the difficult decision to place him in a long-term care home.
Ed was the youngest cadet in the Naval Academy, and he was an attorney, and he had a long career, and he helped so many people for many years. He owned a Harley Davidson franchise which he loved. He loved doing all sorts of things, from old cars, to swing music, Elivs Presley, and of course the highland games. Watching athletes at the game was one of his favorite things to do at the games, as well as listening to the Scottish music.
We never ask for assistance, because we have always paid our own responsibilities, but due to his dementia and stroke insurance companies would not cover him cover. This is the reason we started the fundraiser to help with his final expenses. We want to thank you in advance for your contributions.

*** We are only $960 of having the fundraiser completed. We are so close to finalizing everything. This amount is for his burial plot at the Veterans Memorial Cemetary, and one large spray of flowers. Please share it with your friends, co-workers, or employers. All donations are truly appreciated. ***
There will not be a reception at the service. There will be a celebration of life planned for 4th May 2024, which we will be celebrating what would have been our 25th wedding anniversary. Friends are welcome to this celebration of life.
