Edgar Uriel Alarcon Gurrola

Dear friends and family,

It is with heavy hearts that we share the tragic news of the passing of our beloved brother, Edgar Alarcon. Edgar was taken from us far too soon in a car wreck on March 15, 2024. He leaves behind his wife, parents, three sisters, and five children.

Edgar was born in El Arenal, Durango, Mexico, on October 26, 1984, as the first and only son to Natividad Gurrola and Eduardo Alarcon. He was a cherished big brother to Elizabeth, Flora, and Daniela. In 2012, he married Laura Luna, and together they formed a family with their children: Alexander, Ramon, Galilea, Melissa, and Kevin Alarcon.

Edgar was the pillar of his family, providing unwavering support in every aspect—financially, morally, and emotionally. He was known for his loving nature, charisma, and infectious sense of humor. Whether it was a stranger on the street or a local politician, Edgar made friends wherever he went. He had a unique ability to empathize with others and offer sage advice during difficult times. His positive outlook on life was a beacon of hope to all who knew him.

We are still reeling from this tragic loss, and as we come to terms with it, we are faced with unexpected financial burdens. We are reaching out to our community for support in raising funds to cover funeral expenses and any other accrued debts for Edgar's wife and children.

Es con gran pesar que compartimos la trágica noticia del fallecimiento de nuestro querido hermano, Edgar Alarcón. Edgar nos fue arrebatado demasiado pronto en un accidente automovilístico el 15 de marzo de 2024. Deja atrás a su esposa, padres, tres hermanas y cinco hijos.

Edgar nació en El Arenal, Durango, México, el 26 de octubre de 1984, como el primer y único hijo de Natividad Gurrola y Eduardo Alarcón. Fue un hermano mayor querido para Elizabeth, Flora y Daniela. En 2012, se casó con Laura Luna, y juntos formaron una familia con sus hijos: Alexander, Ramon, Galilea, Melissa y Kevin Alarcón.

Edgar fue el pilar de su familia, brindando un apoyo inquebrantable en cada aspecto: financieramente, moralmente y emocionalmente. Era conocido por su naturaleza amorosa, carisma y sentido del humor contagioso. Ya fuera un extraño en la calle o un político local, Edgar hacía amigos dondequiera que fuera. Tenía una habilidad única para empatizar con los demás y ofrecer consejos sabios durante los momentos difíciles. Su actitud positiva hacia la vida era un faro de esperanza para todos los que lo conocieron.

Todavía estamos en estado de shock por esta pérdida trágica, y mientras tratamos de aceptarla, nos enfrentamos a cargas financieras inesperadas. Estamos recurriendo a nuestra comunidad para solicitar apoyo en la recaudación de fondos para cubrir los gastos funerarios y cualquier otra deuda acumulada para la esposa e hijos de Edgar.
