In Memory of Ralph McMullin

Hi. My name is James Marsden, firstly thank you for taking the time out to read this but secondly and most importantly your generosity and donations.

September 23rd 2014, aged 74, my partner lost her father to Dementia, one of the worst days of our lives. His life was taken due to this uncontrollable disease which is unfortunately becoming more frequent. Despite the fight Ralph put up, each day, week and month became harder to deal with until finally he was beaten. Next year will mark 10 years since the passing of Ralph but not a day goes by where he's not in our thoughts or spoken about.

That said, I will be running the Manchester Marathon, April 16th 2023 in memory of Ralph and for Dementia UK Charity. Whilst it's a year sooner than I'd like, I'm not getting any younger myself and I think my body will tolerate the run sooner rather than any later.

I'm hoping to raise as much as possible to help families out there deal with this painful disease. Seeing it first hand and the effect it as is devastating and if I can help by even 1% then I've done Ralph proud and more so, my partner and our beautiful son.
