Edison Smart's 3.5 million Step Challenge!

We have decided to challenge ourselves as a business to do 3.5 million steps in October to raise some money for a member of our staff's (Chris Corcoran) friend who has recently been diagnosed with Motor Neurone Disease. Chris has given us the below words to explain exactly why we are doing the step challenge:

"Charlotte has recently been diagnosed with MND (Motor Neurone Disease). I have known George (Charlotte's partner) since school from age 12/13.

Unfortunately signs of MND are already kicking in at the early stages of being diagnosed and having 3 children to look after this is a daily struggle for anyone let alone fighting and digesting the sad news.

Charlotte has only been given 3-5 years to live following being diagnosed and had her whole life turned up side down. 1 year ago my wife and I saw both Charlotte and George in the corridor of Reading hospital having both Amy and Charlotte giving birth within 24 hours of each other. Jimmy is 1 day older than Cooper and a right cheeky chap.

Having found out this news it made me reflect on how life can change so quickly and straight away got me thinking of how we can support them.
