Chantal Edler Family Cancer Support

“We can do hard things.”
A powerful encouragement many of us have heard Chantal offer often. It’s how she supports her friends, leads her church staff, sets an example for her 2 young daughters, and motivates herself. Chantal and her husband Jake are lead pastors of Yakima Foursquare Church. They have two daughters: Emery, age 7, and Mckenna, age 5.
‘Doing hard things’ is the attitude Chantal has embraced in her cancer journey. A few days after her 31st birthday, Chantal was diagnosed with stage 3 Invasive Infiltrating Ductal Carcinoma- a type of fast growing breast cancer. Her current treatment plan through Seattle Cancer Care Alliance at Fred Hutch Hospital includes 5 months of chemotherapy, surgery, then radiation. This treatment regimen will be physically, emotionally, and financially taxing for the Edler family.
One of the most encouraging things to Chantal and Jake has been the incredible love and support they have received from their friends and family. They are overwhelmed with gratitude by the kind words, never ceasing prayers, and many offers of help.
