“We are starting this GoFund me page to assist with funeral expenses for a wonderful lady who lived a full life of 100 years and 44 days. She was an incredible person who lived life to the fullest - A writer and a pilot who showed she wasn’t afraid of a challenge.
We just got to know this lady a few years ago and met her for the first time a little over a year ago. Although married to our Uncle, they divorced before we were old enough to know her. When we first met her, she was living in a difficult situation unable to care for herself and not happy. After talking with her about what she would like we moved her closer to us where we could better assist her. We invested our time to do this because we truly wanted her final time on this Earth to be happy and content. She had no reserves of cash and no possessions of great monetary value.
While none of us are struggling to support our families the expense of burying someone with no insurance or cash savings was not something we anticipated. If you are financially stable and would like to contribute to the funeral expenses of this incredible lady we would appreciate it but either way we have and will take care of her final needs including a headstone marking her final resting place and hopefully conveying to those who see it the incredible person she was.
Should we receive adequate donations to cover funeral expenses any extra would go to a scholarship or other fund to benefit young writers – we will not keep for personal use any funds ever donated to this cause. Thank you for your consideration and to learn more about Edna please visit these sites.”
