Bringing Art To Life: The Edom Enhancement Capital Campaign

The Edom Art Festival has been celebrated for over 50 years bringing thousands to town each year. That 1 weekend in October creates a significant boost to Edom businesses - often representing 20% of their annual sales

How Can Edom Boost Edom's Presence and Attract Visitors Year Round?

In 2022, the Texas Tourism Commission toured Edom and were impressed with Edom’s unique and creative personality & saw opportunities that could benefit the community year round.

Their recommendations were 1) Capitalize on Historical Tourism 2) Strengthen Edom’s Branding 3) Permanent Wayfinding Signage

In an effort to bring more visitors to Edom, The Edom Area Chamber of Commerce, The Edom Historical Museum, The Edom Craft Community & the City of Edom have come together to create The Edom Enhancement Capital Fund Raising Campaign with the goal of creating 4 Public Projects

to revitalize highly visible spaces that currently lack engagement, character and vitality.

With these funds we will:

1) Transform the Edom Historical Museum and Visitor Center

2) Install a Welcome Sculpture

3 & 4) Create a colorful and impactful mural that will also welcome visitors to Edom.

These public works will be distinctive & memorable as well as tell visitors, “You have arrived in Edom!”
