About Our Cause
As the poorest region in Burma/Myanmar, the educational and developmental need in Chin State is dire. Three interns from the Burmese American Community Institute are currently volunteering at Hakha College to help students with their English and leadership development. In addition to facilitating this project, they are also volunteering and tutoring middle and primary school students in Chin State.
About the Program
The English and Leadership Development Program (ELDP) is a distinctive 100-hour highly interactive program designed for college students in Myanmar who wish to improve their academic English proficiency, critical thinking, problem solving skills, civic engagement, and leadership qualities.
Your donations will directly help the students we serve this summer and for years to come.
