Education Fund for Kris Sturgess' Boys

Yesterday, Kris Sturgess passed away unexpectedly.  He left behind two young boys, Ben and Lukas, and loving wife, Danielle.  Kris was well known in the prop building, cosplay and Makerspace community.  He is known as the builder, droid wrangler, and manager of Red Deer R2D2.   He helped do events with the 501st Badlands Garrison and The Calgary Ghostbusters to raise money for important charities.  As one of the first members of The Calgary Ghostbusters. he has helped us raise over $7500 for important charities such as Make A Wish, The Alberta Children's Hospital, The Airdrie Food Bank, and Tails to Tell Cat Rescue.  Kris was also an avid animal lover, adopting cats and dogs throughout his life.  Kris touched so many people's lives and numerous friends have reached out to me asking how they can help.  I have been in touch with his wife, Danielle and we have agreed that the best legacy we can leave for Kris is an education for their two boys.  All money donated here will be given directly to Danielle for her to use for this purpose.  Please consider donating a little bit of your spare change to help leave a legacy for Kris.  He was a great father and was always so proud of his boys.
