Education Fund for Maya Nunez Perez

Friends and Family,

I rarely ask for help because I am always the one willing to help others.  Today that has changed because I am asking you to help my family, specifically my oldest daughter.  As many of you know my oldest daughter Maya started college this fall in August.  Unfortunately due to some family issues she was not able to apply for scholarships or any other financial assistance. She had a very hard last semester in high school but she still was able to graduate with a cumulative GPA of 3.2.  We also had a situation at where her college savings account was emptied out by someone we trusted. That is currently getting worked out through the court system but mean while my daughter is in a situation where she can't even register for the spring semester. This is where I need your help.  We have to come up with at least $5000 so that she can continue her education.  I already have a commitment from some great Latina leaders to match dollar for dollar the first $1000 donations.  Thank you all so much from the bottom of my heart!
