Academic Year 2024 Education Campaign for Orphans, PWDs, and Abandoned Children in Uganda
Overview:
The Academic Year 2024 Education Campaign aims to provide comprehensive educational support to orphans, Persons with Disabilities (PWDs), and abandoned children across Uganda. Recognizing the importance of inclusive education, this campaign is dedicated to breaking barriers and fostering an environment where every child, regardless of their background, has access to quality education.
In preparation for the next year 2024 education program, I request you kindly to help vulnerable children acquire educational materials for their studies.
School will open by 28th January 2024 and this needs early preparations so that they do not miss out commencing with their studies
This campaign is aimed at giving out scholastic materials and feeding as a strong determinant that ensures continued education for children from challenging backgrounds.
We want to take this opportunity to thank all those who donated for this year education program
More than 550 children are looking forward to progress with their education career. These children include; the Orphans, PWDs, abandoned among others and completely depend on donations/well-wishers for their scholastic materials and regular school meals.
Among the children, some have been promoted to higher classes and this has increased their demands too.
The campaign plans to benefit approximately 550 children with scholastic materials and feeding. Your support to ‘Back to School’ Campaign can beautifully transform lives of children who have all the rights to health, education, and a bright future.
Why Your Support:
1. Ensure that orphans, PWDs, and abandoned children have equal opportunities for education, fostering an inclusive learning environment.
2. Conduct Islamic teachings to emphasize moral and ethical values, such as honesty, compassion, justice, and generosity. By imparting these values, Islamic education contributes to the development of a strong moral character in orphans
3. Provide necessary accommodations and accessibility measures to address the unique needs of PWDs, ensuring they can fully participate in educational activities.
4. Implement psychosocial support programs to address the emotional well-being of orphans and abandoned children, creating a conducive learning environment.
5. Conduct community engagement programs to raise awareness about the importance of education for orphans, PWDs, and abandoned children, dispelling stigmas and promoting inclusivity.
Implementation Plan:
Conduct a thorough needs assessment to identify specific educational and support requirements for orphans, PWDs, and abandoned children.
Collaborate with schools, vocational training centers, and educational institutions to create tailored programs that address the unique needs of the target groups.
Source educational materials, assistive devices, and resources to support the learning needs of orphans, PWDs, and abandoned children.
Establish counseling services, mentorship programs, and peer support groups to address the emotional well-being of the children.
Implement vocational training initiatives that align with the interests and skills of older children, preparing them for future employment
Urgently Need Items:
1. Books, Pens, Pencils, Sets and Rulers
2. Sanitary Pads
3. Uniforms
4. Food/Feeding
5. Quran and Yasarena
Together, we can make a lasting impact on the lives of these children and create a more equitable and inclusive educational setting in Uganda.
