Education Without Walls

Education Without Walls is a non-profit organization that serves inner city youth in Cleveland, OH. Its founder recognizes that many students will never have a chance to experience or explore life beyond the blocks on which they live. For them, even dreams and imaginations are crippled from lack of knowledge about endless possibilities. What's worse is that the blessing of technology cannot fill the gaps when families struggle to provide such privileges and must decide between buying food or making technology accessible. This inescapable trap not created by students leads them to negative long-term consequences that we have a chance to redirect.

Education Without Walls stands in the gap and purchased a building that some would label an eye sore. However, founder, Darrell Solomon, saw a gem--a place of hope, a place to birth dreams and imaginations; a space where magic ignites, connections spark inventions, fresh thought, concepts, queries, and the acquisition of newfound knowledge blossoms.

In honor of community trailblazers, forerunners of social justice, youth, families, schools, churches, and other local non-profits and businesses planted within the bordering blocks, the building, Harris Solomon Foundation (HSF), presents a co-working space that when operating at full functional capacity will allow youth and others to:

1. complete professional and/or academic work

2. print, copy, fax, ship

3. access Amazon lockers

4. simulate a professional office

5. create and produce digital content

6. start a business

7. host events, conferences, symposiums, lectures, talks

8. socialize

9. enjoy healthy small plate food options

10. receive specialized business services
