Educational Program Manager
Tax deductible
Crayon Collection, re-allocates gently used crayons to underserved schools in an art education and environmental effort. They recently donated 1,009,500 crayons to LAUSD and even set a Guinness World Record. Their work inside the classroom has been recognized by the LAUSD School Board, The United States Senate and Congress. The charity is creating a new role, Educational Program Manager.
Over the past 8 years the organization has grown tremendously and has repeatedly encountered children who are homeless and children who live under the poverty line. Crayon Collection not only provides crayons and creative learning to the schools they serve, but also provide supermarket gift cards for the families that are really struggling.
Crayon Collection has witnessed that after school programing, or lack thereof, has been a major issue in LAUSD and many kids simply have no care once school is out. The charity seeks to launch a new after school program, which will allow students in South Central Los Angeles and Inglewood to have a safe place to go to while parents are working, receive homework help, hands-on arts projects, sports, games, social-emotional support and snacks.
We hope you will support this new position so that the most vulnerable children in LA County can be cared for and supported during such a crucial time of their day.
With gratitude,
Crayon Collection Community
