By easing access to modern educational resources, Jasper Neupane and Rashmita Limbu of One Youth Nepal aim to increase the literacy rate throughout the country, one child at a time. To achieve that goal, they have been organizing projects in rural Nepal to help those deprived of essential equipment for quality education.
This time their objective is to provide 510 children from 10 schools in rural Gaumul Municipality, Bajura, with basic necessities like bags, pens, pencils, exercise books, as well as school dresses, track suits, shoes, socks, sweaters, ties, belts, etc. They will also be setting up a couple of libraries in the village.
This will be their fourth time visiting the region. Previously they’ve set up three libraries and three computer labs and provided 600 children with educational resources.
They also plan to teach the students basic filmmaking by extending their village stay by a week.
