Educational Specialist graduation regalia

Please forgive my first-world problem rant- I thought I had everything for graduation. Well, I was wrong. I went to the bookstore to get my robe, hood & hat. I was told to wear my Master's robe and hood as there is nothing special for this degree at Kent State University. Other Universities award the hood for EdS at no cost. It is a terminal degree, so they should be awarding me the hood, not me buying it. I know there are so many other MAJOR things in the world, but if you have known me for a long time, you know how long I have been going to school, which is essential to me. My husband and I wrote a letter to several people at the university, and I will keep you posted if you are interested in finding out how they fix all this by Aug 20th.

An update is that they say wear your master's robe and be done with it. I think there should be something to identify for a terminal degree. So a friend said to make your own and be Fabulous! I found someone to make the stole from Etsy, and then it will need more custom work

The stole will be all custom, and each embroidered piece represents a part of me on this crazy educational journey. I am hoping to find someone local to do the piecework of each design- I think this will be a fun way to finish my education at Kent State!
