Beloved Husband, father, grandfather, brother, and uncle.

Edward N. Miranda, 70, of Pelham NH passed away peacefully at Holy Family Hospital surrounded by his loving family on Friday August 26, 2022.

He was the loving husband of Susan (Raymon) Miranda to whom he was married to for 34 years.

Born in Santa Maria, Azores Portugal on December 4, 1951, the son of the late Francisco Miranda and the late DeoLinda (DeChaves) Miranda,
Ed came to the US when he was 9 years old with his family and settled in Somerville MA. He graduated from Somerville High School in 1971 and received his Associates degree from NH Technical Institute in CNC Machining.

Ed was co-owner of Exquisite Flowers in Pelham NH for he past 21 years where he was lovingly known as “The delivery boy” for the flower business he shared with his wife Sue.

A class I/CNC Machinist, he worked for Dynamics Research in Wilmington MA for 17 years.

Ed was known in the Pelham Community as a compassionate, friendly man who always had a smile.
He loved muscle cars and one of his greatest joys was his Pontiac “GTO”. Ed loved to take his wife (“Miss Daisy” as he would call her) on many rides.

Very proud of his Portuguese heritage, Ed was all about family and loved being a “Vovoo” to his cherished grandchildren, Carter and Eden.

Among his several interests, he enjoyed history, sports, was an avid reader and was full of trivial information.

In addition to his cherished wife, Susan, Ed is survived by his son, Tyler E. Miranda of Pelham NH, his daughter Jillian (Miranda) Yorke and her husband Bryan of Pelham NH. Two grandchildren Carter Yorke and Eden Yorke. Two brothers, Sal Miranda and his wife Rita of Virginia, Paul Miranda of Cambridge MA and many loved family and friends.

Ed’s wife and children extend their heartfelt gratitude to his special nephews, Marcel Miranda, Paul Miranda Jr., and Dean Miranda whose visits comforted uncle Ed in his final days.

One of Ed's requests was to be brought back home to the island of Santa Maria, Azores Portugal.

This fund is directed to the family's funeral expenses and to assist in the goal of getting Ed back home.
