Edit: we are so incredibly grateful for every generous donation so far, we have enough to cover Edward’s funeral costs now. We have only raised the target so those who still wish to help mum’s situation can.

I can’t use any more brain power to write anything else so here is my Facebook post copy and pasted:

I feel quite uncomfortable and even guilty asking, especially after all the support we got after the fire years ago, but unfortunately Ed did not have life insurance or any sort of accidental death cover so our poor mum is now left with $9k funeral bill that will leave her in a very dire position, especially now that she will be left with only one income. Us kids are pitching in whatever we can but I thought I’d swallow my pride and ask if anyone could spare anything, it would be so so appreciated.
