Hi I am Pamela and I am fundraising for my close friend Ronnie. Her husband passed away unexpectedly after what was supposed to be a minor robotic hiatal hernia surgery. This couple was married for 18 years and had the luck of finding each other and becoming the closest couple with the best friend and "got your back no matter what" type of love. One we all strive to have with only a few often succeeding.
He was only 70 and just last week got to spend some time with Glenn and myself taking a boat ride out on the gulf and spending the day in the beautiful weather with us and his Son, Ed Jr and Wife Susanna who came to visit from Connecticut.
They later spent the week visiting some wineries, craft breweries, dining out and going out to listen to music. His son helped him get tires on the El Camino that Ed was restoring and life was good.
Ed had this Hernia for a while and it gave him hiccups daily. He was a cancer survivor but his recent PET Scan showed some abnormal test results and he could not do a Colonoscopy because of this "easy to fix hernia".
Makes sense, he feels good let's get that thing straightened up first and then see what else might be going on. And in a blink of an eye he was gone.
Ronnie and Ed were retired and the situation is life changing in not just a Heart wrenching way but in a financial way at all.
I don't normally step out and ask for. help but this person and situation is special to my heart and she could use any help that you might be able to contribute to help with cremation and other end of life expenses that she simply does not have the money for.
If you have the time and are able to help my friend Ronnie it would mean a lot to us both. Her situation makes one realize that you never know when your time will come so tell the ones in your life that you love them everyday and don't let minor daily things in life burden you down.
