Edward Wojtowicz Memorial Fund

It is with great sadness that we share the passing of Edward Philip Wojtowicz, who passed away unexpectedly, Wednesday, Oct. 5th, 2022. On behalf of the Studio of Ballet Arts, a memorial has been set up for Ed's family.

Ed was born in Willow Grove Philadelphia March 19, 1958 and settled in Olney in 1990. He was a beloved husband of 30 years to Susan and a loving father to his two children Daniel and Sara, as well as an adoring grandfather to Adelyn (Addie). His dog Sugar was always by his side or to say “partner in crime.” Ed is also survived by his brother and sister Bobby and Nancy Wojtowicz.

He touched the lives of many in his sweet and caring ways. Ed shared his love of the Eagles and Phillies sports teams with his son Daniel and helped coach his baseball team at the Olney Boys and Girls Club. Rain, snow or shine, Ed was at the sidelines cheering his son on. He also was the original “Dance Dad” of Sara and “Dance Grandpa '' of Addie at SBA. For the past 22 years, he has attended every dance performance of both his daughter and granddaughter with great pride and joy. Addie also knew her grandfather was a great fan of the Phillies and would always say to him “Pop-Pop, you look like a Phillie Phanatic and I’m going to paint a picture of you that way!”

Ed had a great sense of humor no matter what was going on around him. He always made people laugh and forget about their problems, even for a slight moment. He always took the time to help out his friends and neighbors whenever they needed help. From shoveling snow to mowing lawns, Ed always took the time to help those around him.

Ed’s proudest moment was when he walked his daughter Sara down the aisle on June 18, 2022 to wed his favorite son-in-law John Hennessey.

Ed was a hospitality chef at Sibley Hospital and was an expert in fine dining, frequenting area restaurants with his family. He loved those Bloody Marys too!
