Edwards Family House Fire
Donation protected
Hi there, my name is Rebecca. Yesterday, my sons best friends home caught fire. I have known the Edwards family extremely well for a good 10 years & created this page to try to help. Its 5 days before Christmas and now there is a grandma, a grandpa, their two daughters, and their three grandkids living in a hotel. The details:
On Thursday afternoon, December 20, 2019, the Edwards family home caught fire. A lot is lost and their home is condemned. Luckily, everyone made it out safely. The Red Cross has been communicating with the family and have given them vouchers for food. Any funds raised will help them with needs arising from the fire, being displaced, and the cost of replacing everything, furniture, etc. I know that the kids lost all of their clothing. I also know that whenever they get back into a house, they will have a completely empty kitchen to restock.
Additionally, I am collecting the following items:
1. small wrapped Christmas presents for the boys ages 8, 10, and 15.
2. nonperishable food items to help stock their kitchen once they are out of the hotel.
3. gently used clothing for the boys sizes:
Adult: small
Adult: medium - large
Kids: XL
4. If folks have furniture to donate, let me know. If you need to immediately get rid of it, the Edwards obviously don't have a place for it yet, but I do have a basement where items may be stored until they have a home to return to.
To arrange for pick-up & collection of any items, I can be reached through this Go Fund Me page.
I am going to add the grandma (Debi Edwards) and her two daughters (Jami and Jeanine Edwards) as administrators to this account so that if anyone has questions they may be able to communicate with you all.
