In Memory of - En Memoria de Edwin Ivan Martinez

Hello, my name is Dolores and I am fundraising on behalf of my cousin, Roberto C. Barraza-Martinez and his family.

It is with great sadness and a heavy heart that we have to share the tragic passing of Edwin Ivan Martinez. On February 25th, 2024, Edwin’s young life was tragically cut short when the car in which he was a passenger was broadsided in a motor vehicle accident.

Edwin was the beloved son of Xenia, a devoted older brother, a cherished nephew and cousin, and a faithful friend. Just 13 years old. Edwin could be counted on to join a game of soccer whenever he could. A serious young man, he traveled to El Salvador along this past Christmas holiday and was blessed to meet his grandparents for the first time. His hope was to return to visit with them again this summer and had been saving money to fulfill his dream.

Edwin was a gift to his mother, who sacrificed everything she had to offer him a better life. Now, she asks that we join with her as she makes plans for his eternal rest with the Father. His passing was unexpected, and we ask that you give what you can to help pay for his funeral expenses. Your prayers and contribution are greatly appreciated and will comfort the family as they mourn his passing.

Con gran tristeza y gran pesar tenemos que compartir el trágico fallecimiento de Edwin Iván Martínez. El 25 de febrero de 2024, la joven vida de Edwin quedó trágicamente truncada cuando el automóvil en el que viajaba fue impactado en un accidente automovilístico.

Edwin era el amado hijo de Xenia, un devoto hermano mayor, un querido sobrino y primo, y un fiel amigo. Sólo 13 años. Se podía contar con que Edwin participaría en un partido de fútbol siempre que pudiera. Un joven serio, viajó a El Salvador durante las pasadas vacaciones de Navidad y tuvo la suerte de conocer a sus abuelos por primera vez. Su esperanza era volver a visitarlos este verano y había estado ahorrando dinero para cumplir su sueño.

Edwin fue un regalo para su madre, quien sacrificó todo lo que tenía para ofrecerle una vida mejor. Ahora, ella pide que nos unamos a ella mientras hace planes para su descanso eterno con el Padre. Su fallecimiento fue inesperado y le pedimos que colabore con lo que pueda para ayudar a pagar los gastos de su funeral. Sus oraciones y contribución son muy apreciadas y consolarán a la familia mientras llora su fallecimiento.
