Edwin Munoz's Medical Fundraiser

Those of you that know Edwin personally know what a vibrant person he is and remarkable life that he leads. Never without a smile, Edwin's happiness is contagious and sure to uplift the mood of anyone he comes across. Unfortunately, on September 22, 2018, Edwin sustained severe injuries when he dove into Lake Belton and hit his head on a rock. He has two broken vertebrae in his neck, and doctors believe that the odds to ever walk again are not in his favor; but in true Ed fashion, he has surprised his doctors with his positive attitude, grit, and determination to get back up on his feet. Edwin has the heart of a lion and being an exercise physiologist, and a personal trainer, we believe if anyone can bounce back, it's Edwin Munoz. We know it will take years of physical therapy to get Edwin back to normal and friends and family are willing to do anything to get him the best care that he needs. Sadly, he doesn't have health insurance, and the cost will be in the hundreds of thousands of dollars.  An injury is not something that one can plan for, and finances should not be a reason that he does not get treated. Any amount of money that can be donated is more than appreciated and will get us one step closer to getting Edwin back to the Ed we all know and love. The road to recovery will be long and faith-testing but with prayers, positive thoughts and financial support, Edwin will be cruising down the path of healing in no time. He is ready to watch a game at the Crusader Stadium and enjoy Belton again. Thank you in advance to those that donate and are praying for Edwin. Updates will follow as days progress.


We will be using the GoFundMe money to buy Edwin an electric wheelchair, a handicap accessible van, grab bars for our apartment, etc. The funds will be staying in my name until Edwin is able to sign his own name, but the money will solely be used for Edwin’s medical needs.
