Kitchen Renovation

We're raising money to renovate Mike and Jan Arford's kitchen in a 100-year-old Indiana farmhouse.

Mike Arford is a disabled veteran who lost most of his hearing after serving a tour in Iraq. Jan Arford is a phenomenal cook, but she is hindered by the current condition of the kitchen.

Their kitchen has not been updated since they moved in 25 years ago. They always meant to update it, but life kept happening. Cars broke down, the oven needed replacing, and raising a family of four was expensive.

The kitchen needs brand-new cabinets, flooring, ceiling, lights, paint, and a sink. The light often flickers and blackouts, so there's probably an electrical short somewhere. The current cabinets are unable to close, and generally falling apart.

It is difficult to cook in the kitchen, which frustrates all family members. Jan and Mike deserve a functional kitchen they can actually use.
