Whiskers Pet Rescue Emergency Medical Fundraiser

Whiskers has several kitties right now that need major surgeries.

We previously collected some donations for little Gio, but his repeated visits to the emergency vet hospital and recent surgery for a feeding tube have required even more funds than originally anticipated. Once he reaches 4 lbs, he still needs to get major thoracic surgery, so that he will be able to eat and drink normally, without choking. His foster has had a rough time keeping him going until he is big enough for surgery, but he is such a fighter!!

Then we have Estelle, the black and white cat. She has many very painful bladder stones. We have tried to dissolve them with prescription food, but it doesn't appear to be working, so she will need surgery very soon. Who knows how long she was in pain before she came to Whiskers? We want the rest of her life to be much happier. Then there is little Boink, the gray kitten. He has a congenitally malformed back leg. In a couple of months, when he is big enough, he will need to get it amputated. It is just a big hindrance to him and walking. Lastly, there is Ava, not pictured, who just underwent a very expensive surgery to repair her leg. Poor little girl was rescued with a severely broken femur, it was snapped right in two. Quite likely it was deliberate abuse. Ava has been just been adopted by a really wonderful person, but we still have all her medical expenses to pay for.

We really need our supporters' help with all of these unexpected expenses right during an extremely busy kitten season. There has also been a high amount of owner surrenders, not to mention rescues off the streets, all needing vet care, testing, spay/neuter, etc.
