EERA third album recording & mixing

I love being an independent artist, but with this comes the difficulties with getting the funds I need to create my art. I have written all the songs for my next album, but sadly I have not been successful in getting any music funds (even though I have applied many times). 

I feel very excited about the new songs I've written for the next album. The sound will be warmer and even more inspired by my favourite band of all time; Broadcast. Moving string lines inspired by Serge Gainsbourg and guitar tones from John Parish.

Lyrically it is inspired by strong female characters in the film industry. I have been watching amazing films from the 50s and 60s like “the apartment” and “how to marry a millionaire”. The lead character is often highly intelligent, beautiful and independent; yet the main focus for them is to find love. I did research about actors like Marilyn Monroe, Audrey Hepburn, Marlene Dietrich etc and used the information I found to create the songs. I find it fascinating how strong they seemed, yet so extremely fragile.

I also talk about my own insecurities and challenge myself in becoming an even better version of myself, whilst making sure I stay true to who I am. 

I am going to co-produce it with Chris Taylor (Grizzly Bear), who's produced many incredible artists such as Grizzly Bear, Department of Eagles, Twin Shadow and more. 

We're set to start the first week of September, so my hope is that we've reached our funding goal by then! Would mean so much to me if you could help me reach my goal so that I can start recording this album.

The funds will go towards recording, mixing and mastering this album.
