Nobody wants to be woken up by a call from the police letting you know the horrifying news that your youngest child was in a serious car accident.
This is what happened for the family of Mark Adcock. Early last night at 7:20pm, Mark Adcock was involved in a serious car crash in Queens Charlotte, Picton New Zealand. Rolling his car down the face of the mountain after losing control of his car after a turn. He was cut out of his vehicle and air lifted to Wellington Hospital where he is currently in ICU.
He has substantial damages to his face, needing a whole intensive facial surgery. All bones is his face are broken. Nose. Jaw. Cheek and more. His lungs are bruised and was filled with blood. Doctors are unsure as to the extent of his brain, as of now he’s got no bleeding or bruising to it but they won’t know if he’s got any brain injury until he’s awake. Doctors have kept him asleep and are awaiting to find out more about his facial surgery.
This fundraiser is to help Mark and his family whist they are going through this difficult time. The last thing you want to think about is financials and how and where to get them to help. His mother and step father had to fly from Blenheim to Wellington early Sunday morning, whist his sister is in Melbourne Australia trying to find a means to fly over to be with her family.
The family is asking for any sort of help that anyone can give. Even if it’s $1 or $100, it will all be used for medical costs, accommodation costs, food and stay and possible flights for his sister to come to New Zealand to be with her family.
They are unsure of how much to ask to help fundraise for, so they had put a number and will be grateful for anything to help ease the costs.
