Effingham Village Supermarket

Donation protected

On 21st April 2020, the Effingham Village Supermarket and Post Office, had an in-store fire accident that has destroyed all stock that is relied upon by nearby
residents during this difficult time.

We are raising funds to help this small independent family run business to restock and open as soon as possible to continue their fantastic work at providing essentials and being the only Post Office for the local community, many people depend on them running as expected.

We believe that £5,000 will go a long way to help replace the lost stock as well as help expedite the restoring of damages to the shop front as quickly as possible.

Despite safety fears and risks, store owner Bala Chandran and the staff at the Effingham Village Supermarket have remained open during lockdown and now find themselves without their business and the ability to help the local area.

For many residents, the time scale is a matter of immediate urgency.

Please help in any way you can, by either donating and/or sharing this with friends and family.
