Efrain (Negro) Torres Medical Fund

Hello everyone, Im Dominique Torres, the daughter of Efrain Torres but many may know him as Negro. My father recently had a major stroke, the day right after Christmas December 26, 2016, which was completely shocking to all of us, heartbreaking, and the day that flipped our lives upside down. I personally found him laying down on my living room floor shaking, holding his right side of his body, with his eyes open but not responsive. We don't even know how long he could have been having a stroke while on the floor. I panicked and tried to ask him what was wrong but he couldn't talk or move. We called the ambulance, rushed him to the hospital and he was diagnosed with a major stroke that damaged a large amount of the left side of his brain. My father then had to get a huge surgery to keep his brain from swelling anymore, this surgery involved removing the left side of my fathers skull, so right now he only has half a skull in his head.
Doctors told us the part that was damaged will most likely never be able to work again. This took away my fathers ability to talk and move the right side of his body. He can not talk, walk, or do anything that he was able to do before right now. The only thing he can do right now is lay in a bed and watch doctors come in and out of his room. It's basically like being trapped in your own body.
It kills me to know that I don't know when the next time I, my family, or his friends will be able to have a conversation with my dad but anything is possible and I will do anything to help my father get his life back again.  So I started this campaign to raise money to get my father into a Rehabilitation Facility to help my father get back on his feet again, move around, and hopefully get his language back. Please help him learn how to do eveything that he use to do in his everyday life. Unfortunately, he had no insurance at the time. My family and I would really appreciate from the bottom of our hearts any help finacially that we can get. It's the thought that counts. I know WHEN, and I say when because I'm VERY Hopeful and know my father can get through this little by little but when he gets better he will appreciate everyone who looked out for him and helped him out. My father was so caring and giving himself, so if he could get the help back there's nothing else in this world I would ever want. With in this month I hope to get as much help as I can so we can all be able to watch him get his life back again. Thank you so much.
