Recovering

On September 4, 2020 I fell from a second story window sustaining life threatening injuries, most of which were to my head. After days of uncontrollable swelling of the brain, my body seemed to have lost the fight to live and I was declared brain dead. My family then made the most difficult decision to take me off life support and donate my organs. While running tests on my organs to decide where they would be sent, I moved my left arm. I was immediately sent back to ICU where I began to show signs of life. I continued to get better every day, until several days later, I woke up from a coma. After lots of therapy I was finally able to come home! Although I am alive and still actively recovering, I still have a long way to go before resuming normal life. I was uninsured during my 2 month long hospital stay, and have accumulated thousands of dollars of debt. I also suffer from a rare genetic anomaly which is causing my vision to deteriorate quickly and irrevocably. I need special glasses to help me be able to do everyday activities. These glasses cost $2500. In addition to my genetic condition, recent injuries have also caused my vision to be blurry and unsure at times. These glasses would be life-changing! Thank you for your support and continued prayers!
