Liz’s Cancer Fight
Earlier this year, I was diagnosed with Stage 4 lymphoma, with features of Hodgkin’s and non-Hogkin’s. In addition, on March 29th, 2021, I lost my closest and loving aunt, Di Tu, unexpectedly from cancer and kidney failure. Truthfully, it’s been a whirlwind of emotions - shock, sorrow, grief, anxiety, pain, but also juxtaposed with feelings of acceptance, gratitude and hope. Although it breaks my heart that I couldn’t be there for my aunt in her last moments, l want to embody her strength and courage in my fight against cancer. Di Tu will always be loved and remembered as one who had a zest for life, living with optimism, kindness and good faith. She was my sister’s and my second mom, always taking care and loving us unconditionally since birth. I would love to commemorate my aunt’s life by raising money to support the Canadian Cancer Society. Thanks in advance for your contribution to this cause.
