Vinnie

As many of my friends and family know, My Daddy has been sick for a long time. He has fought through the pain of daily life with a chip on his shoulder and a BIG smile on his face. He has been in hospice care since they told him that the chemo isn’t working and that there was nothing more they could do for him.

Vinnie, my dad, has been blowing and going and fighting the pain and the want to “just sleep” for some time now, and it is finally catching up to him. Right now, everything is very up in the air. He has a lot of fluid on him and is struggling with the pressure of that fluid pushing on his diaphragm, making it difficult to breathe. He is on multiple diuretics to help take the fluid off, but he is getting bigger and more tired as the days pass. If we can get the fluid off he may bounce back for a while, but only God knows for how long that would be.

Abby hasn’t left his side, as he cannot be left alone. She has been doing all that she can possibly do to support him mentally, emotionally, and financially. Unfortunately, she is running out of PTO, and FLMA is not an option as of yet. This is leaving them in what will soon be financial turmoil. With bills coming and her inability to go to work, we are asking if our friends and family can help her continue caring for my Father in his time of need.

As you all know, my Dad is a fighter and has walked away from things that most would crumble and or die from; but he always keeps going. He keeps getting up, no matter how hard he falls. But his cancer is what he will ultimately lose his fight too.

Any support and help you can give them would be more of a blessing than you would know. Please keep my family in your prayers, as they are desperately needed.
