EGS community hardship fund
As we navigate through challenging times, we are acutely aware of the financial hardships facing many families across the UK due to the ongoing economic crisis. As a school community, we are committed to supporting our students and their families.
To assist families this winter we are relaunching our fundraising appeal with the aim to provide financial assistance to those who require support during these difficult times.
Our hardship fund, which is supported by local businesses and donations, currently supports students by providing uniform vouchers, contributions to trips, school equipment and study materials.
We would like to extend the support we offer our students and their families by raising additional funds for household essentials, including:
• Food vouchers - vouchers which can be redeemed at high street supermarkets
• Energy efficient household appliances - vouchers for the purchase of appliances to help reduce household energy usage (such as kettles, microwaves, toasters, air fryers etc).
Each barrier or worry that we can remove for a young person improves their experience at school and helps to support their engagement and learning.
Thank you in advance for your support and generosity. Your kind donation will help make a positive difference to our students and their families.
The initial fundraising period will close on Monday 18 December and we will communicate with parents/carers upon our return to school in January to explain the process of applying for financial support.
