Ralphie Hernandez Traumatic Brain Injury
Donation protected
In the early morning of Saturday, April 22nd our beloved Ralphie suffered a traumatic brain injury while in Newport Beach, CA. He was taken by ambulance to the emergency room and was unconscious upon arrival. He was diagnosed with extensive bleeding and swelling in the brain. He immediately had an emergency craniotomy to relieve pressure and try to control bleeding. He made it through the surgery but is in critical condition and fighting for his life in the ICU. We are all praying and trying to stay positive through this difficult process. We do not know the prognosis or chances, but the next few weeks will be critical for him to make it through, then access where he is.
ABOUT RALPHIE
Ralphie is only 21 years old with his whole life ahead of him. Everyone that has ever met him knows he is the kindest, most gentle, level-headed, good-hearted person around. He is currently working while almost completing his Class A driving school with plans to attend lineman college in Northern CA in a few months. He loves God, his family, friends, sports, cornhole, fishing, outdoors, country music and life itself.
FINANCIAL HARDSHIP
Ralphie has an extremely long road ahead of him. His parents, Randy and Claudia, are away from home at his side and will continue to be there as long as it takes. The immediate expenses of travel, hotel, food and missed work are tough and that is the last thing that needs to be on their mind at a time like this. The long-term expenses are tough to even imagine. Randy and Claudia are always willing to help others and are some of the most generous people I have ever met. It is our time to help them in any way possible. Financially, anything we can all do to help them through this would be greatly appreciated. Most importantly please have Ralphie and the whole family in your thoughts and prayers through this difficult time. Ralphie has to get better, please do all you can to help this happen.
Thank you in advance!
