Holistic Care Needed

As many of you know I am dealing with a 2nd round of breast cancer. It first appeared in 2009 and I had just been laid off a few months before. I proceeded with a full scale 'western'* approach which included surgery, chemotherapy, and radiation. I spent the seven years afterward on an estrogen inhibitor which was dropped immediately upon being rediagosed in May of 2016.

In May of 2016 I chose to have a bone scan after a suspucious MRI. The bone scan confirmed it had returned only this time in the bones of the pelvis and tail bone. The 'western' approach is to have chemotherapy shots every few weeks. I decided I needed a more 'eastern' approach. I planned on a six month follow up scan to see what if any difference there was with the modalities I wanted to try and had read about.

The bad news is it has spread to my head (causing difficulty with my eyes) and to my leg bones. The good news is there has been a significant reduction of cancer in the original areas!

I did have a part-time job that I can no longer handle. I would like to try to go back to some freelance work (I made my living as a graphic designer) but I need to update my computer and get wifi. Also, right now my eyes need rest.

So out-of-pocket expenses are paying for acupuncture, homeopathy treatments, and an altered diet.

I guess the old SDS student democratic society statement seems applicable here: -"When push comes to shove." (I hate to ask but I have little choice)

I have little choice but to ask family who already help me in myriad other ways. Life can be very strange because I didn't think I would be in this position having worked my whole life. And it shows that even with health coverage a major health issue can be devastating. Yes, I could have moved to a more remote location but this is where my family of friends live so I felt the need to stay.

A full half of my request would be to visit the Biomedical Center which helps stage IV patients. They study your blood, its weakness, your particular disease and give you liquids/vitamins to improve your specific health. I have researched this significantly.
